Tampa Hard Rock
Project Summary
Seminole Gaming chose Hanson to provide commissioning of mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems for a renovation and expansion of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa in Tampa, Florida.
The extensive renovation includes a new, 14- story hotel tower with 562 hotel rooms and suites, three pools and a 26,000-square-foot Rock Spa & Salon. The completed 223,900-square-foot casino includes 1,000 slots and 41 table games throughout its new gaming spaces, bringing the completed gaming experience to nearly 5,000 slots, 179 tables and a new poker room with 46 tables.
The casino also includes 14 food and beverage offerings and the new 17,000-square-foot Hard Rock Event Center, which is a grand ballroom for conventions, trade shows, private events, large-scale poker tournaments, concerts and Nederlander Broadway shows. The full project encompasses 1,600,000 square feet.
The facility features fountains, five restaurants and three bars. The project involves renovating the low-rise level areas of the existing casino and new facilities for meeting rooms, a 16-story hotel tower, a low-rise-level expansion and a central energy plant (CEP).
