Jeff Ball, P.E.

As president and chief operating officer, Jeff oversees Hanson’s market leadership and business development activities, with a focus on sustaining and enhancing Hanson’s growth and profitability.

A fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Jeff is a member and past president of the organization’s Central Illinois Section and its West Branch; in 2012, the section named him Engineer of the Year. He also is a member of the Illinois Society of Professional Engineers’ Capital Chapter, from which he received the Outstanding Engineer of the Year Award in 2015; the National Society of Professional Engineers; the American Council of Engineering Companies of Illinois; and the American Public Works Association.

Jeff volunteers for numerous local charities and civic organizations, including serving on the Illinois Chamber of Commerce's board of directors, the Southern Illinois University Carbondale College of Engineering Industry Advisory Board and the University of Illinois Springfield College of Business and Management Dean's Advisory Board.
