Company History

In 1954, Walter E. Hanson founded the company in Springfield, Illinois, and the firm’s name has changed throughout the years. Past firm names include W.E. Hanson and Associates (1954-1956); Hanson, Collins and Rice (1956-1961); Walter E. Hanson and Co. (1961-1972); Hanson Engineers Inc. (1972-2001) and Hanson Professional Services Inc. (2001-present).
