Sumrak joins Hanson’s Chicago regional office
OAK BROOK, Ill. — Kimberly Sumrak, P.E., civil engineer, recently joined Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s Chicago regional office. She will assist with the firm’s roadway work, including interstates, state highways and local government projects.
Prior to joining the company, she was a project engineer for a consulting engineering firm in Junction City, Kan., and a transportation engineering intern for the Iowa Department of Transportation in Ames, Iowa. She also served the Iowa Army National Guard in Clinton, Iowa, as a heavy equipment operator and an aviation fueler. She obtained the rank of sergeant.
Sumrak received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Iowa. She is a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers and the American Council of Engineering Companies.
