Hanson’s Cindy Loos receives one of 25 Women in Leadership awards
PEORIA, Ill. — On Sept. 8, Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s Cindy Loos, P.E., regional vice president, was recognized with one of 25 Women in Leadership awards, a program sponsored by the Peoria, Ill., Area Chamber of Commerce, Marketeer Magazine and WEEK TV. The award recognizes women of all ages who have demonstrated unswerving dedication to the betterment of themselves, their family, their company, and their community at large.
As a wife, mother of five, engineer and executive, Loos was recognized for her commitment to her family, friends, faith, community and colleagues. Loos serves as president of the Women’s Transportation Society, Central Illinois Chapter, and she is chairwoman of the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce’s Transportation Committee. Additionally, she was appointed to Bradley University’s College of Engineering and Technology Executive Advisory Council, and she was elected to the Princeville Community Unit School District #326 Board of Education, serving through 2013.
Her nomination also noted her participation in several business and community leadership activities, including Peoria’s Community Leadership School, East Peoria Chamber of Commerce, Pekin Area Chamber of Commerce, Heart of Illinois United Way, and the Winning Communities Group.
Loos has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Eastern Illinois University and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Bradley University.
