Hanson promotes three employees
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s board of directors recently elected three employees to new officer positions.
Jeff Bowen, P.E., a senior project manager, advanced from vice president to senior vice president. He joined the firm in 2013 and leads the company’s Florida transportation and infrastructure efforts from the Jacksonville, Florida, office. He is focused on expanding Hanson’s involvement in railroad and transportation projects throughout Florida.
Shawn Goetz, P.E., S.E., a project manager, was elected vice president. He joined the firm in 1994 and works at the Twin Cities metropolitan office, providing engineering and oversight for work in the region, helping with project management, business development, broadening the firm’s client base and growing the office into one that serves multiple disciplines and markets.
David R. McDonald Jr., P.E., PTOE, Ph.D., chief roadway engineer at Hanson and based in the Chicago regional office, advanced from assistant vice president to vice president. He joined the firm in 2002 and leads Hanson’s roadway technical discipline group, for which he focuses on strengthening the company’s technical services. He provides engineering design services and guidance on various roadway projects, with an emphasis on those with complex highway geometrics. He is active with the Transportation Research Board and has served on several of its committees and panels. He also presents lectures on engineering topics at local universities.
