How we got here
Our story began in 1954, when Walter Hanson’s civil engineering ingenuity and entrepreneurial spirit inspired him to start our company with two other engineers. The trio’s first job involved designing 56 bridges for the Kansas Turnpike, a 236-mile-long road that was built from 1954 to 1956, before the Interstate Highway System. That project was the first of many, and the company built a reputation for technically sound solutions, practical yet progressive designs, global projects and partnerships and customer-centered service.
That history and legacy of innovation, intellectual curiosity and commitment to quality continues to motivate us every day to give you our best so you can be your best.
