Hanson’s Shane Ferrell to present at AREMA conference in Orlando

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Hanson’s Shane Ferrell, EIT, a civil/railroad designer, will serve as a presenter at the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association’s (AREMA) 2010 Annual Conference and Exposition in Orlando, Fla.  On Aug. 31 at 2 p.m., Ferrell is co-presenting a paper along with Michigan Tech University’s Pasi Lautala, Ph.D., P.E., titled, “Railway Embankment Stabilization on Permafrost:  Global Experiences.”  Their presentation is included in the Engineering Services Technical Session.

Ferrell joined Hanson Alaska, LLC in 2009, and he is a member of AREMA and the American Society of Civil Engineers.  He has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in civil engineering, both from Michigan Tech University.
